During the 3 days of Hempfest weekend, Statewide retail sales (not counting taxes) at the Retail Access Points were:
Friday $3,495,000
Saturday $2,928,000
Sunday $2,258,000
These represent (relative to the same day the prior week), increases of 4.8%, 7.1% and 1.2%, respectively.
It is not every week one sees increases like this.
That Hempfest likely drove that bump is really neat. Given what I saw and learned over the weekend, Hempfest is more relevant than ever.
Long live Hempfest … and when are we going to see more of those retailers (and the wholesalers supplying them) benefitting from the bump begin ponying up for sponsorships?
To those that did support the protestival … thank-you (and may additional business come your way!).
We’ve done an economic impact study. It’s on hempfest.org. Info is amazing!
Thank-you, Sharon. Interesting study.
For folks that go to http://www.hempfest.org, the study is on the “About” menu.
